To start using public groups on Kik, tap on the New Message icon in your application (this may vary in location based on whether you’re using i OS or Android; our screenshots are using the latter) and select Public Groups.

In our testing, some groups were far more active than others.

Some groups remained completely silent despite having the full fifty users, while others were fairly active.

Kik can be a great app, but you should know what you’re getting into before you dive into the service’s chat rooms.
